Phusam Ishaque Ali Shaikh(Ishaque) is a reknown young islamic singer in the state of Manipur, India. He was born in 02-01-1995 at a village called Bengoon Mayang Imphal, in Imphal West District, Manipur. He is the fourth son and seventh among eight children of his parents. His father ( Phusam Nasib Ali) died in 2003 resulting from throat cancer. His mother(Apabi Bibi) took care of the 8 children after the death of his father. He started his singing career as early as 10. He was the winner of a number of state level and national level competitions. He completed his matriculation in 2010 from M.R. Bengoon Public High School which is located at a very short distance from his residence. After passing Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur in 2013, he was admitted in Mayai Lambi College, Yumnam Huidrom for a bachelor degree course.

He developed with a strong artistic and poetic mind. He have been also associating with a spirit of hard work and consistent effort that enabled him to do things which were not for his age. In 2010, his first album QAYAMAT (an audio visual Mannipuri Naat, Marifat cassette) was released. It has been a foundation of his popularisation among the Manipuri Muslim community to a greater extent. In 2012, his second work JANNAT KA RASHTA came into light with great achievements and public support. His further works include RAHMAT KI MAHINA, ISLAMGI LEITENG etc.. His ability to imitate the way of singing from his teachers and multilingual skill is widely appreciated.

He had written a number of poems during the short period from 2010 to 2015, many of which are deeply conneted to the spiritual and religious point of view. His worth mentioning poems include: LEIYEEDUGI WANGMADA, GUMBIRGI PIRANG, AMAM ANGalAAN, CHAINABUNG, MANGLAN AMASUNG TAIBANG, ALAME BARJAKH etc. He also worked as a High School teacher in three different Schools. He was the founder of The Dedicated Tutorial Centre which aimed at the production of more students with quality education within the community. During the period, he was too busy to spend time in cultural gatherings. He was, for the first time, guided by Dr. Akbar Ansari ( a well known muslim writer, lyricist, columnist from Irong, Manipur). After that, he was blessed by the leading islamic singers in Manipur namely, Mv. Nayeemuddin Hushami, Muhammed Islaour Rahman, Mohammed Saiqur Rahman, Muhammed Tej khan ( a senior lyricist and famous Naate Rasul composer). With their guidance his popularity was increasing so much so that in a simple religious or islamic cultural gathering, Manipuri Muslim audiences are not satisfied without his presence.

In 2004, He was selected for a Quran recitation competetion from the state of Manipur and he including a dozen other talibas participated in a grand National Competition in Hojai, Assam. Again in March 2007, he was selected from Manipuri Talibas (students studying in a islamic institution) as one of the National competitors of Ajaan which was held later in April that year.

At the age of 18, with the production of his 2nd album, he has been away from participating in any of the competitions. He started to encourage young talented singers and supported many of them in the field. With the increase of pressures from the family, relatives and friends, he finally decided to study MBBS in 2015. He quited his teaching career and left India for Russia to fulfil his ambition of further medical study. Currently, He is a second year student in the Perm State Medical University, Perm, Russia.
