Diplomacy

Following in the footsteps of Brazil and Argentina, rather than an embassy, Chile opened a consulate in Houston, Texas[1]. Texas planned on opening a conulate in Santiago, but never achieved this goal. In 1839 Texas adopted its current flag, modeling it on the Chilean Flag[2].
Trade

Trade between Texas and chile was not nearly as high as with Argentina and Brazil, this is likely due to Chiles location on the Pacific Ocean rather than the Atlantic, Texas exported a small amount of cotton to Chile, while exported mainly Sugar and Coffee to The Republic of Texas[3].
