I grew up in Germany and started my education there - up to an M.A. in English Studies at the University of Cologne. I moved to Madison, WI, United States in 1994, added on another M.A. in Linguistics, with Comp Sci as a minor. I worked as a translator on the side, and in 2000, I joined The Geo Group (www.thegeogroup.com) full-time. Since then, I have increasingly focused on web development and web/software localization, but I also do literature translations as a hobbyist.
