How I Got A Summer Job In New York

It was in January when I first heard about the opportunity to go to New York for the summer. The woman my mom works for, her daughter Jenny, needed an extra set of hands to live in and help with her kids, as well as do other things around the house.

I thought it would be a great way to spend the summer and experience something new. The job was first offered to my sister, but when she expressed no interest in going I was quick to let my interest known. It took a little while before Jenny and I got into contact. When we did, everything seemed like a great fit.

After the first meeting, everything seemed to go by pretty quickly. My flight was booked and I would be flying to New York for the first time only a week after school ended.
