Charles Louis Perceval de Loriol, also known as de Loriol Le Fort (July 24, 1828 in Geneva, + 23 December 1908 in Cologny), a calvinist, a native of Geneva and Etoy and a Swiss paleontologist

Life - Perceval de Loriol was born on 24 July 1828 in Geneva. He was the eldest son of Pierre Charles Antoine de Loriol, an artillery officer, and Marie Sophie de Portes. He spent his adolescence in Vaud and Geneva and graduated in Science and Paleontology at the University of Geneva with his lifelong friend François Jules Pictet.
