Climate Change:
[edit]Evaluation of Article:
[edit]Every fact seems to be referenced by a reliable source as each fact has a subscript that takes the reader to the bottom on the page where the source is located. Each source contains a hyperlink that presents the reader with the source in question. The actual content of the article is on topic and contains minimal deviation from the intended topic as nearly all supplemental material is relevant to the subject. The article seems to be written in a neutral tone with no political leanings or personal opinions found within the subject. This fits the tone with the sources as they too have no political leanings or personal opinions. the sources have links that work and take the reader to the original source where the fact was taken from. The sources seems to not be dated and all seem to still be relevant to the topic of climate change.
Climate change is a very controversial topic that can leave many groups of people divided on multiple sides of the debate. I feel like the climate change article being semi-protected is a very good choice by Wikipedia for many reasons. The first and most obvious reason is that this protection will prevent just anyone from correcting the page in order to fit a personal agenda. While this will not protect the article completely from personal opinions, this can prevent many people from disrupting the page and is a good step in keeping the article generally useful and opinion free.
