Technology
[edit]All the solutions of AdvaICT are based on the technology of Network Behavior Analysis (NBA). The main difference from the IDS and SNMP monitoring systems lies in the orientation on the overall behaviour of devices in a network.
Systems based on NSM/NBA technology work on a principle of automatic detection of network anomalies and unusual trends through constant monitoring and statistical evaluation of the network traffic. This analysis uses network flow data collected via the industry-standard NetFlow by CISCO.
The deployment of NSM/NBA solutions is non-invasive, which means zero interference to the current network topology. The passive probe (e.g. FlowMon ADS or NetHound BOX) monitors the data flows on the perimeter or in a problematic network branch.
