Nekisse (or Ethiopian Nekisse) is a type of coffee bean which originates from Ethiopia. It is not a town or location in Ethiopia (unlike, for example, Irgachefe), but rather a name used for the type of coffee. Nekisse is known amongst coffee connoisseurs for its flavor which is attributed to the processes used to harvest and dry the raw coffee cherries.
Nekisse coffee beans (after drying and roasting) are distinctively smaller than most coffee beans.
