Chile reformed their energy sector's in the late 20th century to a system that uses large scale private investment. This makes it to where a couple of big companies produce almost all the energy in the country. The electricity in the country is supplied through hydro-electric power, oil, gas, coal, and wind. Chile is creating new establishments to try and develop more renewable energy sources and energy efficient technology. This model set by Chile is used in many other Latin American countries today.
