Early life
[edit]Peter Lambert was born 1957 in Queensland.[1]
Stuff
[edit]Lambert began work in 1983 with Michael Bryce's company, Bryce Design Consultants, eventually becoming the Senior Designer.[2] As part of his work with Bryce, he created the logo for the National Trust of Australia, a design featuring gum leaves and gum nuts. In 2006, a National Trust brass plaque was stolen from the grave of musician, Bon Scott.[3] The logo has been in use since 1983 and is seen on signage for National Trust properties across Australia.
Career
[edit]Lambert's work has been recognised nationally and internationally for their design excellence[4]:
- Her Majesty’s Theatre, Ballarat, Victoria.
- Victorian Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (VIOSH) Australia
- Ausflag – Professional Design Competition & Exhibition 1997, third prize
- Winner of the 2005 Victorian RoadSafe Frank Green Award for the Mobile Phone safety campaign.
Lambert has been a member of the Design Institute of Australia since 1984. He was inducted as a Fellow of the Institute in 2012.[2]
Lambert's work is featured prominently on many businesses around Ballarat as well as throughout the community. This includes signage for large interpretative panels at historic landmarks in Mt. Pleasant[5] and Sebastopol.
