My name is Peter Harriman and I live in Dorset in the United Kingdom. I gained a First Class bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Durham in 1986 and a PhD in Theoretical Elementary Particle Physics from the same university in 1990. At Durham, I was a member of Hatfield College. After obtaining my doctorate, I spent three years as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Manchester.
I have worked as a Senior Scientist for the UK government and at technology companies QinetiQ and Atlas Elektronik and now run my own scientific consultancy company, Harriman Consulting Ltd, which has provided services for the UK government and Ultra Electronics.
