Wikipedia Mindset
[edit]This user considers himself to be a "wikiasshole." While remaining civil, this user is also blunt, direct, and has little patience for editors who do not follow policy. This tends to manifest itself in assholish behavior of the "who the heck added this nonsense revert now" variety.
This user is of an "inclusionist" mindset, and favors the presence of articles to further explain material, particularly pertaining to fictional mediums, as Wikipedia is unique among encyclopedias in that it is a useful resource for fictional material.
This user also follows a "realist" mindset in regards to editing, and tries to assume good faith per Wikipedia policies. However, this user does not tolerate incorrect information, poor grammar, or edits that otherwise introduce inaccurate or non-NPOV information, no matter how good-faith these edits may be. Poor edits will be revised or reverted on sight.
This user also adheres to the mindset that material should be cited rather than removed, and strongly opposses the removal of material on "uncited" grounds unless it is original research or POV.
This editor also strongly adheres to what he considers the most important Wikipedia policy of all and the second most important policy of all.
Current Projects
[edit]- Halo article patrol - This user is actively patrolling the Halo articles on Wikipedia daily, checking for vandalism, inappropriate content, and factual information, while working to eliminate original research and biased POV, with particular emphasis on the Halo 2 and Halo 3 articles. To this end this user is very aggressive, while trying to remain civil. If you have an objection to a revert or other edit, please voice your objection and discuss it.
This user also maintains an active watchlist of every Halo article. In other words, vandalizing Halo articles is useless, as this user will check the watchlist multiple times daily and revert inappropriate or inaccurate material immediately. Don't bother trying.
- Command and Conquer series clean-up - this user has recently started to actively work on the articles relating to the Command and Conquer series of real-time strategy games.

In addition to your many fine other efforts, this is for your reorganization and cleanup of GDI technology of Command & Conquer. You dealt with a cluttered and messy article about the details of a video game by making it clear and well-structured, which is quite a novel approach in these parts. --Kizor 14:57, 24 April 2007 (UTC) |
