Daniel Dolan, Male Ballet Dancer (Born 21/03/1993) is an English born ballet dancer. From the age of 4 he has been dancing all round the world in many styles and has won many awards. His biggest success came in the year of 2009 when he gained a prestigious place at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow (Moscow State Academy of Choreography) This lead to worldwide press interest and a big step forward in his career. Although still young he has trained and performed at many famous venues including Sadler's Wells Theatre. Now he is spending his time training in Moscow, New York and London. In his spare time he is concentrating on guest performances, press appearances and travel.



His life

Daniel was born in Warrington, Cheshire on Sunday, the 21st March 1993. At the tender age of 4 Daniel started his first Dance lessons at after watching his older Sister Amy. His first ballet teacher Annette Thomson said after his very first lesson "that you must never let this boy stop dancing he has beautiful feet." Later that year Daniel got his first taste of the stage in his local pantomime. Years later after continuing in the pantomime for 9 years the producer Simon Barry told him to remember it was him that gave him his first break. Daniel also was on the junior associates program of the Royal Ballet and performed with the English Youth Ballet.

He carried on training at Elliott Clark Theatre School until the age of eleven when he was offered a full scholarship at the Hammond School in Chester. Here he trained in all aspects of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary and musical theater. Not only did he dance he also enjoyed his singing and acting. During his time at The Hammond he performed and excelled in the annual shows, it was commented how he stood out and performed well. He also got the chance to perform on Sadler's Wells Theatre and also alongside Birmingham Royal Ballet. His work ethic increased at The Hammond as Daniel took his dancing more seriously and he made the choice this was going to be his life and career. It was well know he was a hard working and this didn't go unnoticed by his teachers. In year 11 he made the first ever head boy.

Early in the year of 2009 he was offered a place at the the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow. This made international press and brought Daniel to the elite of dance. Before attending Bolshoi Daniel flew to New York attending the famous Juilliard School to enhance his training and also working alongside choreographers. In september 2009 daniel began attending The Bolshoi and is currently still training there. He was just offered a 3 year contract at the school and will be only the second british boy to graduate and to collect the famous Bolshoi Diploma.

Currently Daniel is working in rehearsals for a new world premier of the ballet "Sinbad the sailor" as a guest performer.
