Pavithra Balakrishnan was born 1991 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. In the era of the IT industry, just like many of her fellow peers, she completed her bachelor degree of computer science and joined a MNC based in the same city.

While she was working, she gained interest in makeup and soon side by side started undergoing a certified course to become a full fledged makeup artist specializing in bridal and party makeup. After quiting her job, she went into it full time under the name "Aphrodite Makeup Studio" which currently has only a facebook page.

At the same time, she started a fashion and beauty blog to cater to the millions of young women who are looking for makeup product reviews, fashion tips.
