Greetings! My name is Patrick and I am managing this account as a member of the General Motors Communication staff. My goal with this account is to assist the community with information and any questions that you may have about GM and provide links to primary and third-party sources that may help answer those questions here or at the Reference Desk.

In the spirit of full transparency, I also posted this message to the General Motors and History of General Motors Talk pages as a standalone post to ensure it is seen by as many users as possible.

In the past, this account had the name "Pete at GM" and before that "GMcommunications." As of March, 2016, I will be the only person posting from this account.

In keeping with our commitment to being a transparent member of this community, I will be tagging anything we post on this Talk page with an abbreviated disclaimer announcing this account’s GM affiliation. I will not be making any direct edits to any Wikipedia page through this or any other account and look forward to discussing any proposed edits with the community.

I hope to become a resource for information and look forward to collaborating with the community.
