How does their definition of social justice compare to the way we've talked about that topic in class?
- The article describes social justice as the fair and just relation between the individual and society. I believe that it is close to what we have discussed in class, but I believe we have gone deeper into the meaning of social justice than that small sentence. The article uses a lot of fancy words to discuss what social justice is to them, but I believe we have a better definition
Take a look at the talk page. What kinds of conversations are happening there? How does this impact your view of Wikipedia & the work the Wikipedia is doing?
- When reading over the talk page, I found that many people agreed with me in the sense that the definition was lacking depth. Many people went into detail on what they thought social justice was and many of them were arguing. Before looking at this section I viewed Wikipedia as a joke that people do not take seriously, but after reading how heated some individuals where I think I was wrong it judge this site. I believe Wikipedia has a great idea in the sense that they want everyone to have a say in what is going on, but the only downfall is that it is hard to get everyone to agree on one thing such as a definition.
