Introduction
[edit]My name is Pat England, and I work for Library & Learning Resources at London South Bank University.
Why am I doing this??
[edit]I'm creating a Wikipedia profile because I'm in a workshop at the Lilac conference, and because I want to be able to demonstrate to students just how easy it is to have a profile and to add things to Wikipedia. (I confess that I stole this idea from my colleague, Rebecca). Also because I've had the experience of seeing something I knew was a mistake get perpetuated on several websites, so I know how easy it is to get the wrong information.
My interests
[edit]- Reading (OK. I'm a librarian. So sue me).
- Wondering if anyone outside this room will ever look at this page.
- Trying to make it look as if I really understand what I'm doing.
- Oh, and in a work-related context, exploring the possibilities of introducing students to Information/Digital literacy.
