The Business School PAR is located in Rijeka, at the Školjić 9, 51000 Rijeka.
History
Business Academy Rijeka[1]. (Poslovna Akademija Rijeka - P.A.R. ltd) was founded in year 2007. It had been offered a Business management programme for three generations of students. PAR was legally constituted as a private body law until its' business and experience expanded, so an institution for higher education Business School PAR was formed.
Professional sportmen/women students
The "Sports Academy" pilot project started in the year 2008. Many Croatian sportsmen/women are PAR students[2]. such as: Ana Jelušić (skiing), Matea Ferk (skiing), Ivana Kalebić (volleyball), Ivan Krapić (waterpolo), Ronald Rodić (basketball), Luka Tandara (handball) Timna Tičić (tennis), Samir Barać (waterpolo), Dario Černeka (handball), Andro Franičević (waterpolo), Dino Klaić (basketball), Krešimir Kozina (handball), Ivan Perić (waterpolo), Emmi Miljković (waterpolo), Velimir Radman (football), Domagoj Vranjković (swimming), Anja Vreg (international tennis judge), Anđelo Šetko (watrepolo), Natko Rački (football manager).
Post-degree Competencies
Business Management studies teaches both economic studies as well as logistics studies through mandatory modules. Students gain knowledge in mathematics, foreign languages, IT etc. Beyond the theory, PAR students learn practical skills such as project management, methods of studying, people management, and English language.
International cooperation
During business activity PAR have collaborated on different projects with Universities in Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Business Academy Rijeka, in cooperation with Iaccoca Institute on Lehigh University, has hosted in March 2012. International Leadership Conference (PILC) which had been about women leadership[3][4]. Soon after this event the Dean of the Business School PAR PhD Gordana Nikolić participated in the support program for the women entrepreneurs of southwestern Europe which took place in May 2012. in Israel[5]. Business school PAR will co-host The European SME Week about Lifelong Learning in the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises which will happen on September 27th 2012.[6].
