From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Purpose

[edit]

This purpose of this script is to provide a pop roadmap to a set of pages on Wikipedia.

Description

[edit]

This script

User:Parkerdr/popupBookmarks.js

is a variation on the popup bookmarks script User:Js/popupBookmarks.

A feature was added which sets the bookmark contents to the current page. It's intended to be used with one of the WP:Books pages, to facillitate browsing the book's pages. To reduce clutter and narrow the display box, the script hides table tags and the span class="editsection" tags found on the generated book pages.

The feature is activated by clicking on the use current page link on the popup frame. Clicking on the /bookmarks link reverts back to the normal bookmarks page.

Installation

[edit]

See User:Js/popupBookmarks for full setup instructions.

The short instructions are - append this to your monobook.js:

importScript('user:Parkerdr/popupBookmarks.js')

This will add a bookmarks link next to the logout link; clicking on it opens the popup.

Navigate to a WP:Books/ page, like Wikipedia:Books/Leonardo da Vinci, open the popup and click on the use current page link.
