The Powerpuff Girls: Paint the Townsville Green is a 2D side-scrolling action game developed by Sennari Interactive and published by BAM! Entertainment for the Game Boy Color. It is the second in a trilogy of Game Boy Color games based on the Cartoon Network animated television series The Powerpuff Girls, following Bad Mojo Jojo and preceding Battle Him.
Gameplay
[edit]In this installment of the series, the player is Buttercup, known as the "toughest fighter" of the three Powerpuff Girls. The Ganggreen Gang, a group of five teenage criminals with green-colored skin, and Fuzzy Lumpkins, a big pink monster from the backwoods, are the game's main antagonists. The player uses Buttercup's super strength to defeat enemies, solve puzzles, and finish levels while collecting power-ups and unlocking new areas. Virtual trading cards may be traded with Bad Mojo Jojo or Battle Him using a link cable and a second Game Boy Color.[1] Special passwords for unlocking additional features were also available online and at participating retailers at the time of the game's release.[2]
