Contributing to Wikipedia is important to me. I use it a lot to, sometimes, start acquiring information about a topic I know nothing about and, then, to further my quest for more knowledge and go to sources.

Contributing here can, sometimes, be a hard thing for a new contributor. Many obstacles can intersect with a contributors efforts i.e. vandals of all creed (GOV, COI lawyers, 3rd party acting on behalf of whomever and so on). Other difficulties can come from editors and admins. An old Wikipedia policy states: "If a rule prevents you from improving or maintaining Wikipedia, ignore it". But does it mean if an editor or an admin prevents you from improving or maintaining Wikipedia, to simply go and ignore them? No. Such a behavior would trigger a 3RR which will, in turn lead to trouble.

Rules protect Wikipedia. Opposition to an edit can be painful for new contributors but is healthy, gets resolved by discussion which is the healthy way to arrive to a concensus. There is also no need to harm editors nor admins and especially not the devs. Instead of rasing hell, for now at least, learn, understand and respect the Wikipedia five pillars and, very important, communicate WP:TALK... work in progress.
