Re: PYL edit
[edit]It's OK. No harm done. As a big PYL fan myself, I was pretty angered at that guy as well. :) -- RattleMan 23:03, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
Senators
[edit]Thank you for your response. I changed the navy to red to reflect the home cap color. Even though Lancaster now has a team, I still have some loyalty to the Senators as they were our team when we were young. I am busy with maintaining the Atlantic League pages, but I will create a Harrisburg paper page when I have time unless you want to, and then feel free to create a link from the Senators page. See Lancaster Newspapers for inspiration. KnoxSGT 16:09, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

Barnstormers and Bears user boxes
[edit]What's up, man!
Hey I created new Barnstormers and Hershey Bears user boxes. Here they are:
LAN | This user is a fan of the Lancaster Stormers |
HER | This user is a fan of the Hershey Bears |
Also, for the Philadelphia Soul Arena Football team:
PHI | This user reminisces of the Philadelphia Soul |
I don't know if you would like these, but I thought you may. Ask me if you want a Senators one. KnoxSGT 03:20, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

WVU-MU rivalry (?)
[edit]I see your point about the newness and the rivalry and it not being such a big deal out-of-state WVU fans/students and it being a bigger deal within the state. I have adjusted the note to reflect that divisiion in sentiment among Mountaineer Nation. Cheers. youngamerican (ahoy hoy) 18:19, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
Son of a gun....I never knew there was one up there! I stand corrected! Thanks! --Mhking 13:44, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
User Box
[edit]Hey, that's a schnazzy user box you have there about the Curse of Billy Penn. Where'd you get it? LOL Honestly, I'm glad you liked it. Actually, would you know how to format it to where it could be saved more easily by our compatriots whom feel the same? I'm new to the user box thing, so I'm taking baby-steps in... Jimbo 18:22, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
- Frickin sweet! That's great. Thanks for doing that! How'd you go about getting that set up, so I know in case I make some more cool user boxes like that. Jimbo 14:56, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
"History" (Editors note: Proof that I could still be a noob, lol)
[edit]I can't find history in the main game...where is it? Go Futurama! User:Sp3000 06:14, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
- What I mean is that branches come from words used in the main game and I can;t find history in the main game. Go Futurama! User:Sp3000 06:21, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
License tagging for Image:PhanaticATV.JPG
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:PhanaticATV.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 14:07, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
Birds article
[edit]Can we please reach consensus on the talk page? See you there, thanks. --Tom 23:28, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
WVU Article
[edit]No it's fine. If we put all the losses on there we would have to put the Louisville and USF games on there, which I would hate to see.

I took the liberty of fixing it for you- you had it going to Hook and lateral play (football), and it should go to Hook and lateral play (American football). Don't forget that Soccer is known as Football outside of the US. --Tlim7882 06:36, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

Original 16
[edit]That is completely wrong, unless i am completely misinterpreting your statement. If you are saying the Phillies are the most recent Original 16 to win the World Series, that is incorrect as the Cardinals, White Sox, Red Sox, Yankees, Braves, Twins (unless you discount their Washington Senators roots), Reds, A's, Dodgers, Tigers, and Orioles have all won at least one Series since the Phillies most recent title in 1980. If you were saying that the Phillies were the last team before expansion from the Original 16 to win the Series that is also inaccurate, as in 1960 the Pittsburgh Pirates won last World Series before expansion, defeating the Yankees 4-3, on Bill Mazeroski's walk-off home run in Game 7. However, if I have overlooked some meaning in your statement, please reply and explain to me what I am missing. Thanks. --User:Daryno621 16:11, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
- I see, my bad. I probably just misread that sentence. --Daryno621
Report of vandalism by 159.134.221.142
[edit]Hi. I see you reported an instance of vandalism by 159.134.221.142 on WP:AIV. Thanks for the report, but please read the instructions in the green box at the top of that page; it's really intended for reports of persistent vandalism rather than one occurrence. this may be useful. Bogus reversion
[edit]Please tell me where, in the following paragraph, the referent of "Peter" is spelled out:
- The show was memorable for the "Whammy", a red cartoon creature of indeterminate species wearing a cape. The Whammy's spaces on the game board took away the contestant's money, accompanied by an animation that would show the Whammy taking the loot—but frequently being chased away, blown up, or otherwise humiliated in the process. The animated Whammies were created and animated by Savage Steve Holland and Bill Kopp, and voiced by Bill Kopp. Throughout the show's run, approximately 60 different animations were used, and the Whammy became popular enough that at the end of many episodes, Peter would read a "Whammy poem," sent in by a home viewer. "Whammy poems" would also appear after the first round of the big board before going to commercial.
No, it's not in the preceding paragraph either. English is normally read from top to bottom, left to right. The fact that "Peter" is mentioned somewhere else in the article does not excuse the bad writing in this paragraph, which is supposedly part of the introduction. 121a0012 02:18, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
- I reverted it because "Peter" is mentioned as the host at the top of the article, and listed as host. I think by that point in the article, the reader would know who "Peter" is.
- No, Peter is not mentioned as the host at the top of the article. The only paragraph before the one I quoted above says:
- Press Your Luck was a popular American television game show during the 1980s where contestants collected "spins" by answering trivia questions, and then used the "spins" on an 18-space gameboard full of cash and prizes. The person who amassed the most in cash and prizes at the end of the game won.
- No mention of Peter there, either. 121a0012 19:40, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
- No, Peter is not mentioned as the host at the top of the article. The only paragraph before the one I quoted above says:
AfD nomination of Pennsylvania Route 999
[edit]An editor has nominated Pennsylvania Route 999, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Pennsylvania Route 999 and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. Last change
[edit]Hey, thanks for the accurate update on the Barnstormers page. It's cool someone else has many of the same user boxes that I do. I too own a Phillies jersey and hat that I wear frequently, as well as for the Barnstormers. I own other jerseys of the Eagles, Sixers, the Hershey Bears, the US men's soccer team, and the USA hockey team. Later.

Commerce Bank Park
[edit]I think that the advice about where to sit in the stadium is original research, and therefore not suitable for Wikipedia. The ticket prices might be encyclopedic - I'm not sure whether they should be kept. I would definitely keep the bit about the flood. Andrew_pmk | Talk 10:46, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
- I would leave out the section about the batting practice entirely. I don't think that it's very important at what times a team does batting practice, since Wikipedia isn't an indiscriminate collection of information. Wikipedia isn't a detailed guide on everything that has to do with this baseball team. Andrew_pmk | Talk 10:56, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
