My village
[edit]My village is called Eeshoke. Eeshoke is a village that is found in the Ohangwena Region of Namibia. The village is situated about two km to the Oshikango Border Post. The village is surrounded by Palm trees (bears eendunga) which can been seen from a distance, even though as you come close to the village you will find different types of trees.[1]
Indigenous trees
[edit]Most of this trees that you will find in the village are natural fruit trees, meaning that most of the season the trees bears fruit for the community in the area. Trees that are can be found are such as the eembe trees, omulunga (marula) trees and eenyandi trees, which are trees that are not found in some of the villages.
In the village one can also find oshanas and water dams that get water from the Cuvelai River which runs from the neighbouring country of Angola. There is a combined school, called Nghiteke Combined School. The school is found in the village and it accommodates students from the lower primary grade until grade 8. Most of the students that attend at the school are from the village.
Facilities
[edit]Apart from the school there are no other facilities in the village, so which means that the community members have to travel to Oshikango Town or other near by towns to get other facilities.
