I cannot comment at MfD of edit during MfD because I am blocked for a week. You might want to wait for nominating at MfD until my block ends so I may respond before others consider it, or seek advice from others who have already commented on the essay, or upgrade the essay per new comments and new WP:Essjayism occurences, as I was collecting them for an essay upgrade (still intending to keep it very brief).e your comment - "I think it needs to be vetted by a consensus" - WP:Essay says, "Essays are the opinion or advice of an editor or group of editors, for which widespread consensus has not been established. They do not speak for the entire community and may be created and written without approval. Essays that the author does not want others to edit, or that are found to contradict widespread consensus, belong in the user namespace." Since it both openly invites "others to edit" it, and it does not "contradict widespread consensus", it is not a userspace essay. It was commented on by others on talk pages, but for some reason, I can't locate the discussions (discussions may have been deleted since talk pages of users not participating in the comments were being used for them). The essay was intended as (1) a repository of essjay related experiences of other editors so as to keep the essjay essay untouched, and (2) a repository of experiences of arguments by authority on talk pages citing a user's "expertise" (true or not) as an "argument", and (3) a repository of the anthropic principle as it exists at WP. There are notable adages named after people (see Category:Adages such as Godwin's law) and -ism named after people (such as Darwinism). Also, the Wikipedia project does use non-notable, coined names to identify things (e.g., delete per "WP:NOT"). However, I'm not aware of any non-notable Wikipedia project adages or concepts name after living people and I don't think this essay a good way to start that. -- Uzma Gamal (talk) 13:16, 20 March 2011 (UTC)
