Dalian K'un City Football Club (Chinese: 大连鲲城足球俱乐部; pinyin: Dàlián Kuncheng Zúqiú Jùlèbù), alternatively Dalian K'un City, is a Chinese professional football club based in Dalian, Liaoning, that competes in China League Two.
History
[edit]The team was founded in 2022 as Liaoning Free Trade Zone Dalian Huayi Football Club (Dalian LFTZ Huayi F.C. for short) (Chinese: 辽宁自贸试验区大连片区大连华谊足球俱乐部). The name was meant to emphasize its location of registration in the Dalian Free Trade Zone. The team played in the 2022 and 2023 edition of the Chinese Champions League.
In January 2024, Dalian Huayi gained promotion into the China League Two as a substitution team, for multiple teams in the League Two disbanded after the 2023 season. The team changed its name to Dalian K'un City Football Club (Chinese: 大连鲲城足球俱乐部, literally the city of K'un, a giant fish from Chinese mythology).
