Hello to all and sundry,
I am Orestes, an Australian of Greek descent, from Queensland, Australia where I am a teacher. I have previously studied at the university of the Sunshine Coast where I studied a bachelor of arts majoring in modern history, with enough courses to have minors in English and Politics & International Relations. I also studied a bachelor of education.
I've been contributing to Wikipedia as a user on and off since 2005, and even earlier as an IP, I've been on the internet as it is now since 1996. You may my find me contributing on many articles within the English Wikipedia. I am occasionally forgetful and will often completely screw up my edits. If I come back to sign my comments, It's the fact that I'm often highly forgetful of things. Don't mind me, that's just the way that it is.
I edit broadly both inside of my subject area interests as well as outside of them in areas where it's necessary to monitor veracity. In honoring disclosure, particularly when it comes to Wikipedia politics, I generally maintain both a moderate and liberal view when in comes to my editing, noting the lower case l so as not to be confused with a certain political party in Australia. I also maintain a broad subject area interest as you can see through my user boxes, which you will find me editing inside and out of. I do not deal well with users who game the system or edit in a way which displays unnecessary incivility. I am likely to respond to users who do with an adequately weighted reply to their actions.
Thanks to my past study areas, particularly in history, I maintain access to a broad range of academic databases and am more than useful when it comes to maintaining well referenced and edited material. If I'm not busy I will edit within reason wherever I am needed. If you ask politely on my talk page I will endeavor to provide my assistance wherever it is necessary, or even simply to verify veracity.
In my personal time you might catch me out at the gym, or practicing one of my hobbies such as photography, or just being outdoors at the beach, or otherwise. My general interests related to Wikipedia can be found in the userbox to the right and for an extensive list on my userboxes page.
