User Page for "Oniwe".
Welcome to my talk page. I am a Nigerian American/Yoruba American, I am very interested in history, specifically African history. In terms of my heritage, I am an Ekiti person, from the town of Ilara-Mokin and Igbara-oke. (Paternally, I am also Egba and Owu). After learning about Oriki, I became very interested in my ancestry in tracing my lineage. Since many of the information I receive is oral information from my maternal relatives in the village of Ilara-Mokin, I have been embarking on finding more research and sharing it to Wikipedia.
I am also interested in learning and teaching on Yoruba poetry, such as Oriki, and the Yoruba religion
I'm fluent in Yoruba, English, and an intermediate learner of the Ekiti language.
