The North vs. South (The California North vs. South Wrestling Tournament) is a high school wrestling event with a unique format for competition. The first annual rivalry will be held in Victorville, California at Silverado High School and Adelanto High School. The girl's portion of the tournament-series will be at Silverado High School. The boys' competition is scheduled for Adelanto High School. Both events will occur on 11 and 12 December, 2015.

Before the North vs. South, there have only been two types of wrestling tournaments; Individual Tournaments and Dual Meet Tournaments (also known as Team Tournaments). The North vs. South's format of competition has been coined as a "Regionalized Tournament." A Regionalized Tournament is an Individual Wrestling Tournament which has a dual meet finale (Super Dual) because of regionally segregated bracketing. Both of the tournaments will consist of 32 schools. Each weight-class will have 16 Northern California wrestlers in a Blue Bracket. There will also be 16 Southern California wrestlers in a Gold Bracket. The Northern Finalists from various schools will wear blue All-North singlets, while the Southern Champions will sport golden uniforms during the "Super Dual" finals. The dual meet scoring system will be used for the Super Dual, while the individual scoring system will be used throughout the entire tournament. The colors chosen for the teams are based on California's state colors.

How Teams Are Invited

Based on The 2015 California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) State Wrestling Championships, the highest-placing non-senior... of each weight class... from the North & South... gets his entire team invited. This system allows up to 14 teams from the North and 14 from the South to earn an automatic invitation. At-Large Teams will be chosen based on their respective Returning State Wrestlers.
