Background
[edit]Pakistan's national first-class cricket competition, the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, began in the 1953/54 season and was the highest level of domestic cricket in the country until the 2018/19 season. The competition initially consisted of seven teams, but over the following decades its format changed many times to include both teams representing regional cricket associations and departmental teams representing companies and government departments. In 2019, the Pakistan Cricket Board restructured domestic cricket in the country, merging the 16 regional cricket associations into 6 new associations and removing the departmental teams from the top level of domestic cricket.[1] This list includes all players who played at the top level of Pakistan's domestic cricket structure before the 2019 restructuring.
