Ole John Nielsen
Ole John Nielsen (Born 1954 in Copenhagen) is a Danish atmospheric chemist. He is a professor at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. He is best known for various contributions to atmospheric chemistry. Ole John Nielsen is educated in chemistry and physics with and MSc degree in 1978 and a PhD in atmospheric chemistry in 1984. He has an on-going collaboration with Ford Motor Company and was employed by Ford Motor Company in 1995-1996. He has been the head of department at Risø National Laboratory (Denmark) until 1999. Then Ole John Nielsen accepted a full professorship at the Department of Chemistry, University of Copenhagen. Working for the IPCC he was a co-recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007.
