The Evidence of Identity Standard is a good practice guide for identity establishment and confirmation. The Evidence of Identity (EOI) Standard was developed by the New Zealand Government's Department of Internal Affairs and published as version 1.0 in June 2006. The updated version 2.0 was released by the Department in December 2009. The EOI Standard is part of the New Zealand Government's eGovernment Interoperability Framework [1] which aims to ensure that IT projects between Government agencies consider interoperability.
