Nyan Ko (Thu Nyan Htet; Burmese script သုဉာဏ်ထက်) is a citizen of Myanmar. Being born on 7th day of July, he usually considers himself lucky. He is currently residing in Pyin Oo Lwin, Myanmar. He graduated from BEHS (2) Pyin Oo Lwin at the age of 15 in 2004. He started the Yadanarbon university majoring in English in 2005 and graduated with a bachelor degree in 2009. He continued his studies in Mandalay University and got a diploma in English language teaching in 2010. He enrolled in Mandalay University again for a Master Degree in 2011. He finished Master Degree part I in 2012 but dropped out from the university just before the thesis writing session in 2013 due to his family's financial issues.

From then on, he worked as an English language instructor at the local education centers. He made a lot of passion projects on translating Japanese Anime series and movies. He also worked as a translator with one of his friends during his second year of Master degree. In 2022, he was offered a translation project for textbooks for teaching art which were going to be used in Education College. This project was funded by UNESCO. The project included 2nd year art subject for middle school and primary school teachers (both teacher's guidebooks and student textbooks), 3rd year art subject for middle school and primary school teachers (both teacher's guidebooks and student textbooks). He started the project around mid 2022 and finished in early 2023. In the meantime, he worked on passion projects including translating famous books on Wattpad whenever he was free. He also made a living by working as a private English instructor for the local students. He also had some exposure to politics and once worked as part of a translation team for International IDEA Myanmar section which is yet to be launched.

Nyan Ko is really passionate about translating as he once said, "Translation is technically decoding a written script to unveil the meaning underneath."

He is also passionate about creating artworks and drawing comics. He would write down so many things that came to his mind. He loves writing stories and enjoy world building. He loves mythopoeia so much that he created his own deities and creatures in his own universes. He has some passion in coding and has some basic knowledge in C++ programming language. The reason he learned coding is because he wants to make the worlds in his mind come to life. He is saving money so that one day he could publish his own video games and comics.

He is also interested in East Asian History especially the histories of China and Japan. He is fascinated by their culture so much that he would read the whole timeline of Chinese and Japanese histories.
