Mohini Wikiquote
[edit]Hi Nvvchar, I hope you are doing then. I noticed that you are great wikiquote articles on Hinduism. Just an observation, Mohini the avatar of Vishnu and Mohini the apsara (who is found in Rukmangada and Brahma tales) is different. Please remove content related to the latter in the Mohini article.--Redtigerxyz Talk 10:28, 17 December 2014 (UTC)
Thanks. Deleted the quote as suggested.--Nvvchar. 22:08, 17 December 2014 (UTC)

Upanishads DYK
[edit]Muktikā has the list of 108 Upanishads, several do not have articles. Would you like to collaborate on creation of the articles. We can have a series of Upanishad DYKs or 1 mega DYK of all the articles.--Redtigerxyz Talk 04:55, 5 January 2015 (UTC)
Sure. Better to have a series of articles.--Nvvchar. 04:59, 5 January 2015 (UTC)
- We can have multiple article DYKs based on a tradition, as per the Vedas (columns) or the sects (rows) in table in Muktikā#Categories. How do you want to go above it. --Redtigerxyz Talk 05:08, 5 January 2015 (UTC)
- Let us follow the Muktika listing order. We can start with alternate ones. I will start with the 11th as the first 10 are already covered in some details. We can come back after covering the Upanishads not covered so far.--Nvvchar. 07:57, 5 January 2015 (UTC)
- Ok. You start with 11th Brahmopanishad, I will with 12th Kaivalyopanishad. Please the article names as Brahma Upanishad, not in samasa (Sanskrit compound) form: Brahmopanishad in accordance to existing articles Kena Upanishad etc. After I complete edits to an article will ping here, so you can enhance the article. Please do the same when you are done with an article. --Redtigerxyz Talk 10:02, 5 January 2015 (UTC)

- Namaskar Narasipur-ji and Redtigerxyz-ji, the initiatives you have taken to work on Upanishad-related articles is really a fantastic one. Unfortunate enough, I am too much busy with my new work (joined 1 Jan, contract still not signed), WP:RMI (see its talk too, and please post comment, if any), but still I'll work on these article. Please inform me about your newest articles' drafts at my talk page I somehow miss your discussions somehow. I may help in building a document store too. --Tito☸Dutta 08:21, 6 January 2015 (UTC)
- You are welcome to the Upanishad club.--Nvvchar. 12:57, 6 January 2015 (UTC)
- When do we start moving them to the mainspcape? Redtigerxyz Talk 13:02, 9 January 2015 (UTC)
- Now that six of them are done, we can start moving them (two each day) to main page and post on DYK. One could be posted by you and another by me. However, all user pages have to be moved to main space by you as I am still not conversant with the procedure. Project is coming along well.--Nvvchar. 13:18, 9 January 2015 (UTC)
- I will put N-Done at the articles in User:Redtigerxyz/Upanishad wherever you are done creating/reviewing articles created by me. I will do the same (R-Done). After we have NR-Done marks against the articles, I can move the article. I really loved your choice of photos in Brahma Upanishads for the similes. Redtigerxyz Talk 14:02, 9 January 2015 (UTC)
- I was away on a short holiday. The first two articles could now be moved to main space and posted on DYk - one could be nominated by you while the other one will be nominated by me.--Nvvchar. 16:07, 11 January 2015 (UTC)

Re: DYK
[edit]I nominated the Bhutan article at DYK. I created a couple of new articles after that—
- A Gold Medal Winning Tramp Dog Chinese film, difficult to expand, sources are mostly in Chinese language and
- Every Last Child, a Pakistani documentary I just started,I'll expand a bit today.
--Tito Dutta (talk) 00:43, 19 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Tito Dutta: The first article cannot be expanded further as electronic translation of Chinese sources is not decipherable. Every Last Child has been expanded. Pl see the section headings for any change.--Nvvchar. 06:14, 19 March 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for expanding.I'llmove to a couple of other countries from tomorrow. Do you know about #100wikidays? --Tito Dutta (talk) 14:51, 19 March 2015 (UTC)
- Plus,I am not getting any catchy hook in the Paki film article. --Tito Dutta (talk) 14:51, 19 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Tito Dutta: You can probably use the wrong propaganda about Jews and Christians. I am not aware of #100wikidays. --Nvvchar. 16:58, 19 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Tito Dutta: Do you think this article Raghunath Temple is good to be taken to GA?--Nvvchar. 05:40, 20 March 2015 (UTC)
- Ping + full sign need to be added together, else notification does not work. anyway, 100wikidays is a challenged taken by few Wikipedians to write an article a day for a hundred days. My today's article is Zolykha's Secret, an Afghan film. Here is the list: User:Titodutta/100wikidays (I have "personally" taken 100 wikidays, 100 wikicountries challenge, so there should be more articles in the queue.). I'll check the Temple article and will inform you. --Tito Dutta (talk) 10:01, 20 March 2015 (UTC)

- @Titodutta:. This may be good hook ... that scenes in the film Every Last Child depict wrong propaganda made by a few people against the polio vaccinations as a motive of Jews and Christians to eliminate Muslims?--Nvvchar. 14:37, 20 March 2015 (UTC)

Re: DYK
[edit]I have moved your userpage draft to mainspace. The temple article looks just fantastic. As a matter of fact, I am struggling with my own articles too -- I am not getting much time to nominate my recent articles at DYK too. That's sad. :( I managed to nominate only 1 of my most recent 6 articles at DYK.
If you can nominate both your and my articles at DYK, I'll supply QPQ (you don't need to do QPQ, just notify me about your or our DYK nom, I'll add QPQ), I have done a few in advance. The reason seems to be my busy schedule, after more than a year I am returning to these article creation and DYK things. And it is taking me more than 1 hour everyday just to plan an article. My today's article is Malika Sobirova. --Tito Dutta (talk) 01:01, 21 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Titodutta:. I suppose expansion to more than 2000ch should do. But most references are snippets. You may like to nominate Malika Sobirova for DYK. You may also consider leaving a note on the new project page stating that I am expanding the articles and also nominating them on DYK as per--Nvvchar. 12:04, 21 March 2015 (UTC) the eligibility criteria.

[edit]Please move content of User:Nvvchar/sandbox/Janapada Loka. I have started copyediting and will do more today. We may follow Louvre Museum article structure here. As the article already exists, unless moved now, it may create problem later. The article should be fully expanded by tomorrow evening. --Tito Dutta (talk) 02:24, 25 March 2015 (UTC O have
- @Titodutta:. Please move it to main space for any further expansion. I have completed my inputs.--Nvvchar. 03:50, 25 March 2015 (UTC)
- I can not move this one. As the article exists, someone needs to cut paste there. There is no other way. If I do so, all edits will be under my name, as history can not be preserved. So, please you cut and paste content from there. --Tito Dutta (talk) 04:18, 25 March 2015 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for March 25
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Krodhavasa, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Nagas (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

DYK for Sucheta Kadethankar
[edit]On 26 March 2015, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Sucheta Kadethankar, which you recently created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that on July 15, 2011, Sucheta Kadethankar became the first Indian woman to walk across the Gobi desert (pictured), a distance of 1,000 kilometres (620 mi)? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Sucheta Kadethankar. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, live views, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page. |

Iran (is not the problem)
[edit]Could you expand the article a bit? Not targeting DYk though,I'll add infobox and poster soon. Iran (is not the problem) --Tito Dutta (talk) 04:51, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
Larabanga
[edit]--Nvvchar. 10:59, 29 March 2015 (UTC)Out of courtesy, do you think you could alert myself and Rosiestep next time you take one of our articles to GA? I'm still willing to work on the A-Z but no more than one or two a week and done in sandbox first and kept to as minimum a length as possible. I liked the diversity we had working all those countries, it was interesting, I think we should aim to complete it eventually. How does that sound? ♦ Dr. Blofeld 09:58, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Dr. Blofeld: Yes. You may like to suggest you few names which need least inputs. My approach has been to make articles as comprehensive as possible.--Nvvchar. 10:59, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
- I don't mind doing one a week so long as it's under 3kb. User:Dr. Blofeld/DYK A-Z country challenge. We reached Comoros, Shall we resume there? One article for each country.♦ Dr. Blofeld 11:04, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
Nvvchar. 11:11, 29 March 2015 (UTC) Can you find anything on the mosque of Domoni?♦ Dr. Blofeld 11:15, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
- I count 110 entities left. If we did 2 articles between 1.5 and 3kb a week it would take about a year.♦ Dr. Blofeld 11:30, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Dr. Blofeld: You may like to make Template:Did you know nominations/Church of St John the Baptist, Kerch a part of our A-Z with adding some text.--Nvvchar. 12:19, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
- Good job Nvv, just copyedited and checked the sourcing. Perhaps Crimea should have its own entry in the list though as its disputed territory now! Domoni the settlement then we'll do.♦ Dr. Blofeld 19:25, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
- I count 110 entities left. If we did 2 articles between 1.5 and 3kb a week it would take about a year.♦ Dr. Blofeld 11:30, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
- Hi. It's turning into a nice article. I won't be able to do anything else on Wikipedia tonight, but I'll be back tomorrow. --Rosiestep (talk) 03:31, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Rosiestep: and @Dr. Blofeld:. I have added more text and it is now much mire than 5x. Pl see. --Nvvchar. 07:52, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
- OK thanks, I'll check it now. Can we agree though that Nvv generally does the initial leg work and then Rosie and I edit it/add to it and ensure it is long enough before nomming? I just think things will run smoother in the long term if we work in the sandbox and it will save time checking at a later date.♦ Dr. Blofeld 12:22, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Dr. Blofeld: I also prefer the Sandbox route. Articles to be expanded should be of short length. In the above case, the requirement was about 5500 ch. --Nvvchar. 12:39, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
- Let's generally try to target articles which don't need more than 3kb. Short stubs or new articles, the occasional longer one is OK though. Great job on Domoni Nvv. Rosie I checked most except the Ottenheimer sources which I couldn't access.♦ Dr. Blofeld 12:51, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Dr. Blofeld: 3kb prose should be good for most articles.--Nvvchar. 13:03, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
- The Kerch church length is ideal I think. Cassava production in the Republic of the Congo next? No rush. I think we could manage two 2-3kb articles together a week. I don't want any of us to feel compelled to have to edit on the entries every day. If you create the article in the sandbox and allow Rosie and myself 3 days then I think that would work before moving into the main and nomming and then creating another one.♦ Dr. Blofeld 13:09, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Dr. Blofeld:The Ottenheimer sources are snippets.--Nvvchar. 15:34, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
- Can we try to keep new entries to 2kb of readable prose. The basic essentials. I'm sure Rosie would agree too. I think it would be easier and more productive to cover more articles with making them around 2kb and involve less time in checking and refining them. Krodhavasa sort of length is ideal I think. The important thing is getting the basics started I think rather than making them comprehensive.♦ Dr. Blofeld 17:51, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
Amigos: Krodhavasa and Rose Sommerfield are both just over 2200 characters, which is 700 characters more than the 1500 required for DYK. If 2KB approximately 2048 bytes (characters), then 2KB should be the max at time of nom, otherwise reviewers notice this or that or this or that, and require us to put additional attention into improving the article, and that takes us away from creating other articles. Don't get me wrong -- I'm all for expanding articles after their DYK appearance, depending on time and inclination, as GAN is a worthwhile eventual goal for all articles. --Rosiestep (talk) 02:34, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Rosiestep: In the case of Domoni as the article was posted on DYK and received conditional approval, I suppose I did the right thing adding text to make the grade.--Nvvchar. 02:58, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- Absolutely that was the right thing to do or the article wouldn't meet the >5x qualification. My was regarding parameters for future articles. --Rosiestep (talk) 03:06, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Dr. Blofeld:@Rosiestep: Here is the new article User:Nvvchar/sandbox/Cassava production in the Republic of the Congo. It is about 2.3 kb prose.--Nvvchar. 12:50, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- Nvv, you know that the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and the Republic of the Congo are two different countries? Perhaps this should be for the DRC rather than the Republic? We could do both but if it's confusing we might do a place for the Republic instead.♦ Dr. Blofeld 13:30, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- I began looking at it but you've also included Republic of the Congo material in there. Do you want to create one for each? When approaching I think we need to double check it's Democratic or Republic as they're easily confused.♦ Dr. Blofeld 14:26, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Dr. Blofeld: Sorry about the mix up between DRC and ROC. One reference was wrong, which you have deleted. I have now added a new reference and also fixed ref in the lead. Added a little more important text. I will create article for ROC also separately, now that I have the relevant references.--Nvvchar. 15:41, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- That's OK, easy to confuse them. You might remember the country Zaire, now DRC, would have been a lot less confusing if they'd kept it named that! Double check though that the source you're using refers to the right one though! ♦ Dr. Blofeld 15:58, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- I began looking at it but you've also included Republic of the Congo material in there. Do you want to create one for each? When approaching I think we need to double check it's Democratic or Republic as they're easily confused.♦ Dr. Blofeld 14:26, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
OK the two are User:Nvvchar/sandbox/Cassava production in the Democratic Republic of Congo and User:Nvvchar/sandbox/Cassava production in the Republic of the Congo. I've just noticed that Agriculture in the Republic of the Congo is missing. We should do that too.♦ Dr. Blofeld 19:13, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Dr. Blofeld: I have done all three, the last one has 2.6kb of prose.--Nvvchar. 08:15, 2 April 2015 (UTC)
DYK for Krodhavasa
[edit]On 30 March 2015, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Krodhavasa, which you recently created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that in the Sanskrit epic poem Ramayana, Krodhavasa, wife of Kashyapa, was short-tempered, and the children born to her were ferocious animals, birds, and fish, all monsters with sharp teeth? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Krodhavasa. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, live views, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000.
