The Miami Jazz Society is a non-profit jazz society based in Miami, Florida.
History
[edit]The Society was founded in 2009 by Keith Clarke.
Mission
[edit]The Society's mission is to enrich people’s lives and celebrate unity in diversity. It does this by providing select events that expose people to quality cultural-educational experiences and equality in ethnic-gender diversity. These events are a series that occur weekly, monthly or annually and include hospitality, films, live jazz and community-building education.
The Miami Jazz Society, founded in 2009, works in partnership with Sky Lounge to create a positive atmosphere and successful exchange of superb artists, community building, and commerce in the luxurious Miami Tower (formerly known as the Bank of America Tower at International Place).
provide a series of events hosted at Miami Tower. produce the Downtown Film Series; The Downtown Jazz Series and annual events such as the International Dance Party, Family Day, Cultural Exchange/Appreciation Party, and Music Exchange Listening Party. currently planning two museums in one: the Women in Jazz Museum and the Miami Tower Jazz Museum.
The Miami Jazz Society also provides artists development and bookings. It has provided superb musical artists to the Coconut Grove Arts Festival, La Gorce Country Club, Hollywood Band Shell, Miami Tower, The Van Dyke Café, and private events.
