Nuclear Transport Solutions (NTS) is a transport company formed of Direct Rail Services (DRS), International Nuclear Services (INS) and Pacific Nuclear Transport Limited (PNTL). It was created in 2021 by its owners the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority.
NTS will be responsible for the operational, commercial, engineering, legal, and regulatory expertise that underpin nuclear transport and logistics operations. They will operate a fleet of 100 locomotives and three specialist nuclear ships.[1]
DRS will continue to operate as a brand and will keep operating its non-nuclear work.[2]
