Nu-Futurepop Nu-Futurepop is a new form of electronic dance music that incorporates influences from American pop, synthpop , deep house, and progressive trance to create techno-dance-driven, club-oriented music. Unlike its "futurepop" counterpart, which focuses on electro-industrial and electronic body music (EBM), Nu-Futurepop incorperates elements of deep house and progressive trance. Coined in 2012 by new American artist Glamoure, after finding she did not sound like other popular artists in this genre despite having similar elements to futurepop by definition. [1]
