Robert Scheben
Robert Scheben is a pioneer in rural crime prevention practices. Currently employed in the state of Montana as the Missoula Police Department's Crime Prevention Officer, Robert Scheben has been instrumental in bringing cutting edge crime prevention practices to Montana and the rural west.
In May of 2007, Robert Scheben joined together with like-minded crime prevention advocates across the state of Montana to form Montana Crime Prevention Association. The premise of this new organization was that crime prevention is far different in rural states than in more heavily populated states and needed different partnerships than metro areas. At the time, this was ground-breaking thinking.
Robert Scheben has been a regular presence in regional-wide seminars and trainings. He is recognized as an expert in rural graffiti and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED)
