The Divided is an English metal/hardcore band from Eastbourne[1] that appeared on the live music scene in 2010[2]. The band’s sound incorporates hardcore shouts and screams along with clean vocals accompanied with both melodic and heavy riffs and breakdowns[3].
History
[edit]The Divided formed in 2010 after the disbandment of several unsigned bands.
Following the release of their debut EP the band received extensive radio airplay and were featured in national music press Kerrang! magazine [4]. The band performed an extensive number of shows across the UK and have played with the likes of Heart In Hand, Silent Screams and have shows confirmed with Dead and Divine and Demoraliser.
During December 2011 the band announced that Karl Schubach, vocalist of American Metalcore band Misery Signals, will appear on the title track of their forthcoming mini-album[4].
An exact release date has not been confirmed for the band's mini-album however it is due for release around the start of 2012[4].
