Creating an article isn't easy however this guide may help if you follow these steps you will be able to create an article. Once you have found a topic which doesn't have an article yet but has potential to follow these steps.
Step 1-Drafting
To create an article is best to start off with a draft, creating an article straight up may be a problem and most times the first version will not be ready for main space, to create a draft you can go to here Wikipedia:Drafts and create your article by entering (PAGENAME) under create new draft or if you are autocomfirmed you can also make it by going to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:(PAGENAME) and pressing create.
Step 2- Linking relevant wikiprojects
It is important to link wikiprojects to do so use {PROJECT_NAME} not only will this allow other editors to help improve your article, you will also get higher odds of a speedy review if you wish to submit an article for approval first in Step 4.
Step 3-Standards for a main space article
Before publishing there are some standards and guidelines for a main space articles, in my opinion the ones mentioned here are the most important ones. First is fullfilling the General Notability Guide, note not all sources have to fullfill the guideline but a minimum of two should be full coverage of the guideline. Articles must be start class or higher, if you do see a stub its better to expand it than delete it however if an article can't expand it should be merged redirected to an appropriate page if no parent page exists the page could potentially be kept. All sources must be reliable, having reliable sources is important to ensure the information is verifiable. Atleast 95% of an article's information has to be sourced, not having a reliable source backing up information will likely deceive readers of your article.
Step 4- Publishing an article
You can move an article directly into the main space as an auto comfirmed user by either copying the article or moving it. If you do not have such privillages or an article with the same topic has previously been deleted especially under an AFD submit it for approval via Wikipedia:Articles for creation/Submitting. While waiting for approval and after the article is moved to the mainspace you can conitnue to edit and improve the articles quality..
