David Ronald Esau was born on June 21st, 1980 in sunny San Diego, CA. Currently his family and their family owned and operated business are in East County. David Esau grew up in Lakeside and El Cajon attending Winter-gardens school, Lakeside Middle School, and El Capitan High School graduating with a 4.2 GPA. David grew up being active and playing sports, unfortunately, none of his sports teams were winners. In 1988, the AYSO soccer team lost every game and tied once at 0-0. Also, his basketball team at age 14 lost every game and also tied one at 26-26. Being a fast runner, David decided to join the high school runners and compete in the Junior Olympics. His favorite competition was the relay race where he was always the 3rd leg attempting to close any gap if his team was behind any other team.
By the middle of high school, David decided to quit sports and start playing the drums. Within months, David Esau was hosting band practice at his house with the local punk rockers. After slowing down his musical taste, he joined a local alternative indie emo rock band called Jack's Broken Heart, who would later to go on and record a few EPs and tour nationally. Jack's Broken Heart also won the 1998 San Diego Music Awards for "Best Alternative Band," and had no idea they had a huge number of fans outside of San Diego due to their success on mp3.com. They rose the charts to #1 over New Found Glory and the Offspring having over 2,000 plays a day generating around $40 a day.
After Jack's Broken Heart David joined Jesse Pruett led band Parker Theory for a year or so and recorded an EP. A few years later after living in Lake Havasu City, AZ he was asked to join yet another band, but the keyboard player Lee LaDouceur used to be the second bass player in Jack's. David did not play drums at all for 3 years in AZ, but went ahead and accepted the audition for the Little Ones. The Little Ones decided that I was the one that would go on tour with them and our very first show was in London, UK with only 3 rehearsals under our belt. They continued to tour for a couple years nationally and internationally opening for acts such as Kaiser Chiefs, Brett Dennen, We are Scientists, and many more.
Since working with his family didn't work out, David Esau started learning the hospitality trade and has been a server and bartender for over 10 years while building an e-commerce business following his entrepreneur dreams to live financially free and travel the world while making money online. David also has 4 years experience in the merchant services industry helping businesses make better decisions and understand their fees. Currently, David Esau has partnered with Swipely to focus on restaurants and providing big data analytics, pairing with all social media through their point of sale payments system. Locomotive Technology is his first personal business and official website where he launched his own branded product on Amazon.com.
