Hinton Community School (Hinton, Iowa) is the public school district covering Hinton, Iowa.
Athletics
[edit]The school's mascot is the Blackhawk and the school district's Athletic Director is Ben Hertenstein. There are many athletic opportunities offered through the school and several others through other school districts that students may participate in such as the Sioux City Metro Swim Team and Sergeant Bluff-Luton's Soccer Team.

Quiz Bowl
[edit]The Quiz Bowl team is sponsored by Kathi Oetken and meets every Wednesday morning to practice answering questions. They travel to multiple competitions at other schools yearly.
Other Organizations
[edit]====The Fellowship of Christian Athletes==== Although this is not a school sponsored organization, they do meet in the library every other Friday morning. This group is lead by Doug Lacey and consist of many students from the high school and middle school. Meetings may consist of a few songs, a guest or member speaker, and prayer.
