Born in a small town of Mon district as the second son of Mr and Mrs C Yeangkim. He has 3 siblings. His elder brother name Manlam YW, his younger brother name Y Khongkai and also has a lil sister name Y Youngmei. 
He did his schooling in Little Flower school Mon and his secondary school in Kohima science college( one of the best college of Nagaland?). He then pursued his Bachlor degree in MBBS after a gap of two years due to coaching and some other plans.
