My Profile
[edit]Hello. My name is NobunagaLionKing. I was born on October 6 in Florida (I won't reveal my age or what city I was born in, though, because I think that I'm at least sensible enough not to do anything that would attract possible Internet predators). I am a former YouTube video maker (I used to showcase M.U.G.E.N, a 2D PC/Linux/DOS fighting game engine that has gained a considerable amount of popularity; for anyone that shows up here, I didn't abandon you out of any sort of quiet hatrid or personal protest; my connection was messed up for most of the summer of 2007 (although it did come back on July 17, I thought that it was too late to talk to any of you guys again, and I figured that I would just get the cold shoulder. But, please don't get me wrong: I have always admired and respected nearly everyone in the community, and I wish all of you the best of luck with whatever future matches you decide to do, and whichever paths you choose to take in life); I had a little bit over 270 videos before my silent leave).
My Personal Favorite Things
[edit]- I am a huge enthusiast of various types of music (I will listen to practically anything, but my personal preferences are rock (The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, Rod Stewart, Elvis Presley, etc.), country (The Charlie Daniels Band, Kenny Rogers, Dusty Springfield, LeAnn Rimes, etc.), swing (Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, etc.), gospel (Patti LaBelle, Willie Martin, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Gladys Knight, etc.), disco (Earth, Wind and Fire, etc.), classical (Beethoven, Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Tchaikovsky, etc.), jazz (Kenny G, Dave Koz, Louis Armstrong, Boney James, Harry Connick, Jr., David Sanborn, etc.), hip hop (the Treacherous Three and all of its members, the Stop the Violence Movement and all of its members, LL Cool J, Canibus, Eminem, Boogie Down Productions and all of its members, 50 Cent, Grandmaster Melle Mel, DJ Kool Herc, MC Shan, Ice Cube, Jay-Z, the Juice Crew, Tupac Shakur, the Notorious B.I.G., The GZA, Jam Master Jay, Public Enemy, the Beastie Boys, Eazy E, Lil' Kim, Big Pun, Run DMC, Young M.C., Everlast, Will Smith, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Ice-T, Busy Bee Starski, Kurtis Blow, Whodini and all of its members, Wild Style and all of its members, Grandmaster Caz, Doug E. I don't have any interest in current pop, though (with a few exceptions, like Melissa Etheridge).
- I am a great fan of television and movies. (I will watch nearly anything that's on, like music, including cartoons (SpongeBob SquarePants, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Futurama, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Metalocalypse, Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law, The Brak Show, Space Ghost Coast to Coast, South Park, King of the Hill, Beavis and Butt-head, Hey Arnold!, the entire Rugrats series and all of its spinoffs, Rocko's Modern Life, AAAHH! Real Monsters, The Ren & Stimpy Show and its Adult Party Cartoon spinoff, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, the entire Powerpuff Girls, Dexter's Laboratory, Flintstones, Scooby-Doo and Jetsons series, Ed, Edd 'n Eddy (I have even spoken on two occasions with the show's creator, Danny Antonucci, as well as various voice actresses, including Hynden Walch, Tara Strong, Elizabeth Daily, Candi Milo and Katie Leigh), Squirrel Boy, the entire Camp Lazlo, Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi, Invader Zim, Corneil and Bernie, The Secret Show, The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius (and all of its specials and movies), Kappa Mikey, ChalkZone (yes, you may proceed to humiliate me in the cruelest ways possible and beat me to a shredded pulp),The Fairly OddParents, Danny Phantom, Avatar: The Last Airbender, The X's, My Life as a Teenage Robot, Class of 3000, My Gym Partner is a Monkey and Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy series, etc.), sports (baseball, golf, bowling, horse racing, basketball, pool, Scrabble tournaments, spelling bees, football, etc.), anime (Haibane Renmei, the entire Sailor Moon series, Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo, the entire Gaogaigar series, the entire Gundam series, the entire Fist of the North Star series, Speed Racer, the entire Naruto series (yes, I'm a fan; please don't kill me), The Prince of Tennis, MAR, Samurai Champloo, The Big O, Paranoia Agent, Wedding Peach, Moldiver, the entire Di Gi Charat series, Ouran High School Host Club, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Neon Genesis Evangelion, the entire Dragon Ball series (it's actually pretty worthwhile if you don't count the boring fights that drag on for 30 episodes at a time), Bleach, Bottle Fairy, any films by Hayao Miyazaki, the entire Pretty Cure series, the entire Lupin III series, Akira (wow, like you really weren't expecting me to mention that one), Kyou no Go no Ni, the entire Yu-Gi-Oh series, the entire Mahou Sensei Negima series, the entire Pokemon series, Hikaru no Go, etc.), detective dramas (Homicide: Life on the Street, Miami Vice, Simon and Simon, New York Undercover, etc.), westerns (Bonanza, Gunsmoke, The Lone Ranger, etc.), news (CNN, MSNBC, the Fox News Channel, etc.), paid programming, music videos (all of the MTV and VH1 channels, etc.), sitcoms (The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Amen, In The House, Martin, The Jeffersons, Sanford and Son, According to Jim, For Your Love, The George Lopez Show, The Knights of Prosperity, Desperate Housewives, Full House, Designing Women, Mama's Family, The King of Queens, Greg the Bunny, 8 Simple Rules, Boy Meets World, Sister, Sister, That's So Raven, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Cory in the House, All in the Family, Good Times, What's Happening and its spinoff, The Cosby Show, 227, A Different World, All About the Andersons, Roc, Roseanne, Home Improvement, etc.) and reality shows (the entire Survivor, Joe Millionaire, Solitary, The Apprentice and Big Brother series, etc.). In terms of movies, I mainly enjoy the action (The Karate Kid series, Chuck Norris, Bruce Lee, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jean Claude Van Damme films, etc.), adventure (Beavis and Butt-head Do America, the Indiana Jones series, Hook, etc.), any and all Disney films and TV programs, horror (the entire Scary Movie and A Nightmare on Elm Street series, Friday the 13th, the entire Halloween series, and cheesy to downright horribly bad B-flicks like Night of Horror, The Curse of the Screaming Dead, Manos: The Hands of Fate, Red Zone Cuba, The Skydivers, The Beast of Yucca Flats, The Killer Bees, etc.), western (The Shootist, Billy and the Sundance Kid, etc.), romance (hey, don't laugh at me; When Harry Met Sally was a good movie!) and drama (Remember the Titans, etc.) genres.
- I also love video games to death (well, mainly the old-school 2D ones, anyways. I am a fan of some current 3D ones (the entire Naruto: Clash of Ninja series, the entire Spyro the Dragon series, all of the Nicktoons games, the entire Soul Calibur series, the entire Super Smash Bros. series, the entire Street Fighter EX and Rival Schools series, the entire Mario Party series, Donkey Kong 64, Mario Kart 64, Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Luigi's Mansion). I always felt that the ancient arcade games were the best. They oozed originality and uniquity. The developers always seemed willing to tackle new ideas and experiment with new gameplay concepts, and it was also amazing to see how well they could push these primitive hardwares to their absolute limits. Titles like Battle Garegga, BloodStorm, Crisis Zone, Dead Connection, DoDonPachi (and its prequel, DonPachi), the entire Final Fight series, Crime City, the entire Fatal Fury series, the entire Golden Axe series, the entire House of the Dead series, the entire Metal Slug series, Police 911, SAR: Search and Rescue, the entire Shinobi series, Sly Spy, Sunset Riders, The Punisher, Tumble Pop, Vendetta and Warriors of Fate were all excellent older examples (well, okay, maybe some of them aren't all that aging). It constantly seems like most of today's new stuff just picks up upon these simple earlier concepts and overcomplicates them to the point of making some games extremely hard to pick up and understand.
