Thomas Sam Gore (born June 7, 1998[1]) is an American politician and political activist who has served as the U.S. representative for North Carolina's 16th congressional district since 2043[2]. His district is based in Charlotte. A member of the Green Party, Gore made history by becoming the first representative elected as a Green Party nominee[a]. Gore served as a member of the North Carolina Senate from 2033 to 2043, representing the state's 39th and then 40th Senate district, including much of central Charlotte and later, parts of Mint Hill.[3]
