GeneOme is a musical project and a band from a composer and multi-instrumentalist of the same name by Gene Ome. The composition of the GeneOme band is international. The band is represented by its own label GeneOme Ltd in England.
Music GeneOme is melodic rock with elements of post-industrial metal. However, the bright character's looks in the group’s videos also give a reference to the influence of Japanese Visual KEI and J-Rock in GeneOme music. In general, GeneOme contends that they play in the direction of Rock and they had been affected by Glam Rock, Metal, and Synthwave of the 80s and 90s.

History
[edit]Begin, Leave Me (2017-2018)
[edit]GeneOme project first came into existence in December 2017 and the first recording sessions singles began in Nashville (USA) with drummer Chris Brush. In February 2018, the first single, "Leave Me", which was finalized in the Netherlands. Song mastering was performed by the famous mastering engineer Wim Bult one who used to work with Motorpsycho, Milky way gas station, Indoven.
Despite its high potential, the single wasn`t accepted by major labels because of improper video footage shot and edited by Gene himself. “We were asked to remake the edit and to entrust it to someone from the Sony Music or Universal Music management team. In two scenes the models seemed too fat to them and the embraces looked too artificial. We decided to leave it as it was and just post the video on the Internet without any promotion and support from a label.” says Gene.
New directions, Write Out Fair, I'm So Sorry, Believe in Miracles (2018-2019)
[edit]The work on the second music video was challenged by a chapter of accidents. Gene was involved in litigation with a hater whose nose was broken during a scuffle because of an affront. This led to legal wrangling after which Gene could be sentenced to imprisonment. This case threw the further activity of the band into question. Besides, the band had to shoot the music video twice as its 1st version was kept on the laptop stolen at one of the local cafes where Gene drank coffee and left the laptop unattended when he went to the toilet.
The 2nd version was shot by the same cast on the money raised from the selling of some Gene`s personal stuff and the blood donation of some members of the band. “I wanted to attach the importance to what I was doing, to put money and my heart and soul into the creative work,” says Gene.
That same year the singles I`m so sorry and Believe in Miracles recorded by the same scheme were released – it started with the recording of the drums for all the songs by Chris in the USA, the mastering was again in Europe. These two singles were released at the period when Gene was on a concert tour with a Japanese music show-band DADADADAN TENKO (Japan, Osaka) as a sound engineer. This experience influenced further compositions in his repertoire. It`s not only the visual part but also the whole atmosphere where the tones of the Japanese culture appeared.
Mainstream success, Dark Side (2019-2020)
[edit]In fall 2019 GeneOme started the shooting of the music video called The Dark Side which started not in a positive way. The day of the shooting clashed with a very important task at Gene`s work. Gene chose the shooting and after it was fired from the company where he worked as a sound engineer. This made the financial state of the band worse. They even sold some personal instruments and equipment to find the money for the further production. It is notable that the song "Dark Side" was created after the beginning of the music video shooting. Such professionals as a guitar virtuoso Sergey Golovin and Sam Arrag (ex.vocalist of Shrezzers) were invited to take part in the work.
