Hello guys! For bits, pieces, and stupidity under 280 characters for every topic under the sun (mostly economic and political), follow me on twitter @arelanikhil or just go through my blog which I've been trying to get regular to since long, unsuccessfully.
I've been an active user and contributer of wikipedia since 2006 if I remember correctly :)
I was born and brought up in the Indian city of Agra, famous for Taj Mahal. I've travelled around the country, due to my studies and the fact my dad used to work in the Indian Air Force. Currently, I'm working in Mumbai after my graduation from Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. Prior to that, I was working in Bengaluru, which is the IT hub on India (fondly called India's silicon valley). Mostly I've done sports editing, with emphasis on stadium information. I've also written on finance/economics topics like SLR and less serious topics like Chacha Choudhary. But I'm planning to branch out a bit. I've also started work on economics and joined the Wikipedia India project, which aims to enhance and improve content on Wikipedia with regards to the India. Follow the link on the userbox if you want to contribute as well.
Will keep adding more details to this page. Good Day!
I started editing pages in 2006, when I noticed many pages containing incorrect, obsolete, or biased information. I always had a strong inclination for spreading information (I also enjoy teaching a lot) and thought of spreading my knowledge points or expertise on any subject with the world. Wikipedia is a terrific source as it is used by everyone from a student doing a project to a professional wanting to brush up his skills on a topic.
I like singing and writing a lot. Though I don't listen to every new song that comes every now and then, I have a vast list of music built up for years and can play any song randomly which may be decades old. I somehow magically remember lyrics of all the songs I've loved as a child.
