I am interested in a multitude of subjects, so I read a lot. I probably spend at least three hours a day reading the news, and usually, I end up reading something that leads me to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is great as a jumping-off point for research, but there are times when I will find incredibly biased or false information that's clearly pushing an agenda, that I've often felt compelled to correct misinformation.

I've used Wikipedia so much over the years and truly believe in its mission that it is time to start correcting. As with everything else I start learning and reading about - whatever the impetus might have been - I can sometimes become obsessive, especially when a page was clearly written with an agenda.

I majored in journalism and lacked only three classes to get a second degree in English, so grammatical, punctuation, and syntax errors leap off the screen or a page; I will always correct those.

Topic areas I follow closely:

• Technology - especially computer technologies. I have spent my career in the computer industry; I've been around so long that I learned how to program on a Z80, confirming that programming is not for me. My first computer was a Macintosh.
• Science. I am especially fascinated by all things genetics and all life forms, so basically the life sciences.
• History. The story of humankind is endlessly fascinating.
• Politics.
• Football. I do enjoy watching football - especially at the college level. My favorite professional team is the 49ers.
• Food & Nutrition. I believe in getting nutrition from food rather than from supplements.

Favorite Musical Genres: Jazz, Classical, R&B, Pop, and Classic Country.
