William Reginald Mitchell

The article was declined on the grounds that I had failed to establish the notability of the subject, historian and writer, W R Mitchell. However, Mitchell was awarded an Honorary Degree by the University of Bradford, and an MBE for his services to journalism, is the author of 170+ books on the regional history of North Britain, and has collected hundreds of interviews of Dales people over 60 years on tape, which are now being digitized and form part of a publicly accessible W R Mitchell archive. The citations and references given are of institutions of higher education or other reputable British organisations, e.g. Yorkshire Dales Society.

So I'm not sure how else I can establish the notability of this subject. Any advice or suggestions greatly appreciated. Neville323
