History
[edit]The State Automobile Inspectorate was established in 1936 by the decision of the Council of People's Commissars of the former USSR and was subordinated to the People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs. Beginning in 1936, the "Rules of the Road" were drawn up on the basis of decisions of the City and Regional Soviets of Workers' Deputies. In 1960, the "Rules of the Road" were amended and the "Rules of the Road and Streets of the USSR" were approved. Unlike the previous ones, these rules became a single normative document for the territory of the USSR.
