Welcome, Thank you for visiting my page. Hope you enjoy it.
Bio
[edit]About Me
[edit]Hi, I am a Running Start Student at Everett Community College and I made this account through my English class. I usually enjoy sleeping and listening to music in my spare time, very calming and relaxing. I am a huge tea lover and will consume a lot of tea in one sitting. Biking or just walking by the water is a fun past time that I enjoy and really gives me a lot of time to think. Pigs are my favorite animal and my favorite color is pink.
My Wikipedia Interests
[edit]Because this is my first time ever using Wikipedia from this point of view-- editing my own information and posting it to the public for everyone to see, I haven't exactly thought of what I would be interested in. Although, things that do spike up my interests are history. Learning more information about many events and important people that came before us to shape how our world runs today. Astronomy[1] and space have been catching my eye lately too, observing the stars and the planets, and having that curiosity of more distant planets and galaxies just waiting to be discovered by us, Or unknown beings that we have yet to meet in the future.
Article Evaluation
[edit]For about 3-4 years, Rich Brian has been one of my favorite artists that I enjoy listening to in my spare time. I decided to look him up on Wikipedia and see what they had to say about him, whether it was accurate or not. I visited the Rich Brian article on Wikipedia and found 3 aspects of it worth commenting on: Spelling error of an artist’s name, irrelevant section, and an unnecessary topic.
Spelling Error
[edit]As I was reading through the page, It mentions many known and inspiring artists, such as 21 Savage, Joji, and more. But one that really caught my attention was that an artist named August 08, that is part of the media company and record label, 88rising, was not spelled correctly. If someone was new and trying to grasp better, useful information about Rich Brian and they didn’t already have full knowledge of it, they could just assume that’s just the date or something, not fully knowing that it is another artist who Rich Brian has collabed with.
Irrelevant Section
[edit]In the articles section on "musical style", I think that the first part in that first paragraph was not needed. It just simply quoted feedback from other sources, and although they did cite the sources, it didn’t really describe what his musical style really was. I think if they just kept it to how his music slowly matured and evolved from how he began, that would’ve been a much better approach.
Unecessary Topic
[edit]The last section being named “personal life”, I don’t really think it’s needed in the article. Or if that information was important for people to know, I think a different topic title would’ve been the better way to go. Additionally, if they wanted to add information into the personal section, they failed to add that he got into a relationship back in mid-June. This would’ve been some crucial information to add to the article.
Summary
[edit]Overall, I think that this page wasn’t all too bad, it mentioned his early life and what he did to get to where he was now, the many achievements and things that he’s accomplished since he began, as well as the many collaborations he’s done with other amazing artists. I would say that most of the sources that were cited are reliable and that whoever edited this really took the time to find and gather information on an artist that we enjoy listening to. I think there were just a few minor things that could’ve been adjusted to improve this better.
